Buhle Mgqibela (12), from Cradock Athletics Club, represented EP Athletics at the Sub Junior Interprovincial Championships held at Sasolburg. In the U/14 girls 100m semi-finals she finished third (12.89s) – a record time for EP Athletics Sub Junior U/14 girls. In the U/14 200m semi-finals she also finished third (27.12s) and qualified for the final, which was cancelled owing to inclement weather. Buhle is trained by her personal coach, Bonakele Ntshangase.
