At least 227 families in Komani who were left displaced when the town was hit by damaging floods recently, will be placed in temporary structures.
As previously reported by the Komani-Karoo Express, severe rainfall in Komani began on February 8 and resulted in flooding in the town.
On February 18, damaging floods hit the town of Komani again.
Thankfully, the construction of 227 temporary structures began on February 22.

According to the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality, the municipality has cleared the building site and construction of the temporary structures for eRhawutini and Silvertown flood victims has begun.
In addition to the 227 temporary structures, an ablution project is currently under way.
