Police in Aberdeen are investigating the murder of
35-year-old Daniel August after he had been stabbed in Louisville, Aberdeen on March 19 at about 01:30.
According to police spokesperson Captain Bradley Rawlinson,
it is alleged that earlier today at about 01:30 police in Aberdeen were
informed that August had arrived at Aberdeen Hospital with a stab wound to the
left side of his neck, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
“The victim had allegedly been seen drinking with the
suspect at a residence in Douglas Street, Aberdeen, where he subsequently was
stabbed by a 32-year-old suspect,” said Rawlinson.
He said the suspect was arrested and is currently in
detention at Aberdeen Police cells.
Rawlinson said the suspect will appear at Aberdeen
Magistrate’s Court soon.
He said the body of the deceased was removed and taken to
Graaff-Reinet Mortuary.
