Cala police are searching for the suspect(s) that murdered a 79-year-old woman a few days ago.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Namhla Mdleleni, said that the woman was brutally killed at Luphaphasi Administrative Area between the nights of June 7 and 8.
“It is alleged that police received information of (an) old woman found in an open space already dead. On arrival they found (the) body of (a) woman burned and her head was cut off,” Mdleleni said.
“A case of murder was opened and police are following the leads,” she added.
