Colin Francis, head of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in
the Chris Hani District died when his bakkie collided head-on with a truck
while travelling on the N6 just outside Komani towards James Calata on July 25.
Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Unathi Binqose
said that while travelling on the N6 just outside Komani towards James Calata, at
approximately 13:30 on July 25, Francis died when the bakkie he was travelling
in hit a truck head-on.
“The truck driver escaped unscathed while the driver of the
bakkie who was alone in the vehicle died on impact,” said Binqose.
