As of 07:30 today, February 18, 100 people – including a pregnant woman and an 11-day-old baby, had been rescued by the EC Emergency Medical Services personnel in Komani.

Damaging floods have once again hit Komani from heavy rains that fell overnight, causing road closures in the early hours of this morning, February 18.

The Chris Hani District Municipality has activated a Joint Operations Committee (JOC) for coordination of operations for the Komani flooding, which began on February 8.
