The Sunrisers Eastern Cape finished atop the league standings with 28 points. They will face second-placed Pretoria Capitals, who accumulated 24 points, in Wednesday’s first qualifier at Kingsmead. The victor advances directly to Sunday’s final at Newlands. The defeated side receives another opportunity in Friday’s second qualifier at the Wanderers.

Two-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape secured their playoff berth first. They eliminated defending champions MI Cape Town at St George’s Park on Sunday. The dominant performance confirmed their status as title favourites heading into the knockout stages.

Ottniel Baartman leads the wicket-takers with 15 scalps for Paarl Royals. The seam bowler’s campaign highlights included a hat-trick against Pretoria Capitals. He claimed magnificent figures of 5/16 at Centurion during that spell. Baartman also tops the all-time SA20 wicket-takers list.
The playoff fixtures commence Wednesday at Kingsmead with the first qualifier at 5:30pm SAST. Thursday’s eliminator follows at Centurion before Friday’s second qualifier at the Wanderers. The season culminates with Sunday’s final at Newlands, commencing at 4:30pm SAST. A reserve day on Monday, 26 January remains available if required.
