Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse ladies catch Mandela’s spirit

The Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse (L2L) ladies are combining their L2L Wednesday Walks of the new walking season with a tinned food drive. Early last week, before they started with their 5 km and 10 km practice walk, the L2L ladies handed canned food over to Overstrand Municipality’s Social Development Department (under the auspices of which crèches and old-age homes fall) and blankets to Mayor Annelie Rabie’s “store room” for those in need, to mark Mandela Day.
