The Transnet-Phelophepa Health Train will once again bring free healthcare services to the Overberg region and will operate from Monday 7 October to Friday 18 October at Elgin Railway Station.
During this time, you will have access to a healthcare clinic, eye clinic, dental clinic, psychology clinic as well as a cancer and diabetes screening department. All services on the Phelophepa train are free and procedures, prescriptions and items such as new glasses will cost between R5 and R30. The clinics will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. . Visit the train to get your eye tests, have your teeth cleaned, fillings done, get a new prescription or access free psychology sessions.
