Motorsport fans are in for a weekend of high-octane action as the ORA RAW 4×4 Ultimate Hill Climb returns to the Grabouw 4×4 Route on 29 and 30 August.

Dubbed the “Impossible Hill Climb,” the event pits extreme off-road drivers against punishing steep terrain, loose dust, and technical rock crawl sections that push both machine and driver to their limits.

The competition is strictly limited to 30 vehicle entries, keeping the field tight and the rivalry fierce. Saturday sees the Road Legal Class take on the hill, where roadworthy, standard-modified 4x4s battle the gradient. Sunday belongs to the Modified Class – purpose-built rigs, extreme builds, and custom buggies that take on the course’s most brutal features.

Safety is paramount: all drivers and passengers must wear helmets, every vehicle needs a fully functional winch, and full medical standby services are stationed on-site throughout the weekend.But it is more than just a competition – it is an outdoor festival for the whole family.

Spectators can enjoy intense vehicle viewing, extreme tyre flex demonstrations, daytime entertainment, and a thrilling night drive. Local food stalls, dedicated viewing areas, and on-site terrain camping round out the experience. Nearby Trail’s End Bike Hotel offers accommodation packages for travelling fans.
