Three people have died in a single-vehicle accident on the Du Toitskloof Pass in Paarl on Saturday (2 May).

Kurt Maske, a local paramedic attached to ER24, attended the scene to provide medically assistance.

“There was five occupants in total and they were all scattered over a large area. I was with a male patient who was very critical and there was another male who was fatal. So, there was three fatalities and two critical. I am not sure about the genders and ages of the other patients, my patient was about 40 years old. It was a single vehicle that left the road and rolled multiple times,” says Maske.
