LONDON – Britain’s former prince Andrew has moved out of Royal Lodge in Windsor, the BBC reported on Tuesday, as he faces mounting pressure over his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The sixty-five-year-old Duke of York left the property on Monday after living there for two decades with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, according to the broadcaster. Buckingham Palace declined to confirm the report.
Andrew has relocated to a temporary residence at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, the BBC said. The Sun tabloid reported he will eventually move to Marsh Farm, a property on the estate currently undergoing renovation.

The move comes as Andrew faces renewed scrutiny following the US Justice Department’s release of new documents related to Epstein on Friday. The cache includes photographs showing the then-prince kneeling over a woman lying on the ground, as well as emails inviting Epstein to Buckingham Palace for a “private” discussion.
The revelations prompted Prime Minister Keir Starmer to say Andrew should testify before the US Congress about his knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
A second Epstein victim has claimed through her lawyer that the American financier sent her to Britain in 2010 to have sex with Andrew at Royal Lodge. Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
In 2022, Andrew paid a multimillion-pound settlement to another Epstein accuser, Virginia Giuffre, without admitting guilt. Giuffre died by suicide last year.
The King’s younger brother stepped back from royal duties in 2019 over his alleged links to Epstein, who died by suicide in jail that year whilst awaiting trial for sex crimes against minors.
