Organisers of the West Coast Recce Footprint Golf Challenge 2026 are calling on businesses and golfers to support the event at Stellenbosch Golf Club.
The 18-hole four-ball event takes place on Friday 23 October presented jointly by Fort Good Hope and Fort Viking, two Western Cape regional structures of the South African Special Forces Association (SASFA).
Limited to 120 players, the day combines competitive golf with on-course sponsor recognition, prize-giving, raffles and an auction.

Make a real difference
Every registered golfer contributes to a guaranteed minimum donation of R10 000 to community beneficiary Horizon House, a Stellenbosch NPO providing residential care, therapeutic support and personal development programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
The remaining proceeds will support veteran welfare initiatives run through Fort Good Hope and Fort Viking.
“This event is about more than golf. It’s a chance for our local business community to stand alongside veterans who have given so much, while making a real, visible difference for Horizon House right here in Stellenbosch,” said Arno Crous, chairperson of the Organising Committee.
Entry is open to four-ball teams at R5 000 per team, which includes green fees and dinner for four players.
Local businesses can also sponsor a hole from R3 000, with sponsorship including signage on the course and acknowledgement throughout the event, a deliberately accessible price point intended to open the day up to small and medium businesses across the Winelands, not only large corporates.
With spaces limited and the event now just less than three weeks away, organisers are urging anyone interested to confirm as soon as possible.
