All things chenin blanc will be celebrated at the Drink Chenin Festival 2026, to be held at Cavalli Wine Estate along the R44 from 11:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 13 June.
The festival returns for another celebration of South Africa’s most beloved white varietal – a signature winter wine experience that is the ultimate blend of flavour, fun and finesse.
Guests can look forward to enjoying tastings of chenin blanc from top producers from across the country, live music performances and delicious and local gourmet foods. Among the participating wineries are Kriel Family Vineyards; Stellenbosch Vineyards; Raats Family Wines; Ken Forrester Wines; Perdeberg Wines; Quoin Rock Wines; Boland Cellar; Jordan Wine Estate; L’Avenir Wine Estate; Painted Wolf Wines; and Kaapzicht Wine Estate.
Klein Joostenberg chef Garth Bedford will be cooking up a storm.
The soup station will serve hearty soups, as well as Klein River Gruberg cheese straws, while the pie station will offer a selection of homemade Klein Joostenberg pies.
There will also be a charcuterie station, Poulet au Vin Blanc, and those with a sweet tooth can delight in Canelé de Bordeaux, a traditional flan slice, gluten free Valhrona dark chocolate at the pastry station.
. Tickets cost R450 per person through Quicket, and includes a branded Drink Chenin wine glass. Children enter free but must be supervised at all times.
