Plenty of boundaries, tumbling of wickets, an overall community spirit and fun day out for the entire family was the order of the day when Stellenbosch Cricket Club hosted its annual six-a-side tournament at the Ida’s Valley Sports Ground on Saturday 13 December. The competition has been an annual highlight on the local cricketing calendar, this year drawing 12 teams from across the region to vie for the coveted title. In the end, though, it was The Uso’s who walked away with the title, winner’s prize and trophy, crowning a day of competitive fun. The winning team comprised (behind from left) Reagan-Reece Carolissen, Keeron Dreyer, Enslin Johannes (captain), Peter Minnis and Austin Adonis (manager); (front) Johnwin Lewis, Calum Moses and Curt Oliver.
