Georgetown country — Country music, BBQ and craft beer come together in the Cape Winelands this spring as the Winelands Country Music Festival is held at the the Daisy Jones Bar on Summerhill Wines in Stellenbosch on Saturday 31 October. The festival brings together some of South Africa’s top country talent for one afternoon of live music, featuring Georgetown (pictured) from Gauteng, alongside Cape Town country acts The Betsies, Riaan Smit and Emmylou. Festival goers can expect a relaxed afternoon in the Winelands filled with live country music, BBQ, cold craft beer and plenty of country spirit. Boots, denim and cowboy hats are strongly encouraged. The doors open at 12:00 and the music starts at 14:00. Early-bird tickets cost R275, while standard tickets are R320 and under 12s pay R50, all through Quicket. Tickets bought at the door will cost R350.
