Cape Town singer-songerwriter Chad Saaiman will be the November headliner of Slowdown Sundays at Morgenhof Wine Estate in Stellenbosch at 14:00 on Sunday 8 November.
Saaiman’s debut album, Chasing Melodies, was nominated for best English pop album at the 2009 South African Music Awards.
Also recognised as a Metro FM Music Award nominee, he has built a catalogue that includes “Moving On”, “Belief” and “2007”, as well as collaborations such as “Play” featuring YoungstaCPT and “2K” with fellow Cape muso Jimmy Nevis.

All about the catalogue
His contribution reaches beyond his own recordings. Published music profiles have credited Saaiman with writing for fellow South African performers, including Loyiso Bala’s “World of Mine”.
His work across songwriting, live performance and broadcasting reflects a career shaped by music, storytelling and connection.
Slowdown Sundays is designed as more than a conventional concert and is presented by The Handler Music Management (THMM). The intimate listening-room format invites guests to appreciate a headline artist’s catalogue and the stories behind the music, accompanied by a curated dining experience.
Each event also creates a performance opportunity for an emerging South African artist, reinforcing THMM’s commitment to developing new talent.
“For us, honouring South African music means recognizing the recordings, the writing and the journey behind the voice. We want our guests to experience the depth of Chad’s artistry in a setting where listening comes first,” says Justine Carolus, THMM founder and CEO.
The emerging artist appearing at next month’s experience will be announced separately.
