Stellenbosch Municipality has issued a call to high school learners to consider applying for the Stellenbosch Junior Town Council (JTC).

Applications for the 2027 JTC are now open and close on Friday 13 November.

The Stellenbosch JTC is a non-political civic programme that empowers young people to build self-confidence, take responsibility and become community leaders and ambassadors for their respective towns.

It presents youths with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, share their ideas and become a voice for young people of the Stellenbosch municipal area.

Prospective candidates must be in Grade 10 next year and demonstrate personal ownership, the ability to work with others, show courage and commitment, as well as perseverance and intellectual preparedness.
