A career expo and stationery drive, hosted by Shincheonji Volunteers, was held at Klapmuts High School on Thursday 29 January.
The event aimed to support learners from the school’s first-ever Grade 12 class as they prepare for post-school pathways. The initiative further addressed the need for career guidance and academic resources within the Klapmuts community. The school recently introduced its first Grade 12 cohort, marking a significant development for the school and greater community.
With learners approaching the completion of their secondary education, the event provided practical information on career planning, tertiary-education options and skills development.
Learners received guidance on setting goals and understanding available post-school opportunities. Stationery packs were distributed to assist with academic preparation; it included essential learning materials such as pens, pencils, exercise books, rulers, erasers, mathematical sets, files and folders.
The event also aimed to improve access to career information and learning resources, supporting learners as they make decisions about their next steps after school. Community volunteers and Shincheonji Volunteers assisted in the coordination and delivery of the programme.
