It’s time for 10s footie in the Cape

International rugby stars like Branco du Preez (with ball), Lwazi Mvovo, Sisanda Ndlela, Lorinda Brown, Nomsa Mokwai, Jongi Nokwe and Frankie Horne will look to leave their mark on the third Rugby Tens Championship, which will be held at Helderberg Rugby Club in Strand. The tourney will feature a mix of exciting new prospects and international Olympian and World Cup stars, who will join the franchises in the fight for the trophy. Six franchises will participate in the competition, with each franchise fielding four teams (Elite men and women, under-18 boys and under-18 girls) who will aim to lift the coveted Franchise Champion Cup. Each of the international teams has at least six players from the franchise’s region, and six players from the region where the competition is hosted. The competition will be held on Saturday 18, Wednesday 22 and Saturday 25 November. Tickets can be booked at ticketmaster.co.za.
