Ida Jacobson (left back), a member of the Union of Jewish Women, resident of Stellenbosch and who is known to be a caring and passionate community leader, knitted more than 100 beanies which she donated to learners at Nora Tyers Crèche in Cloetesville. She also provided them with a warm meal and thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with the staff and learners at the school in celebration of Mandela Day. The children responded in song and dance as a way of expressing their appreciation for this special gesture. With the youngsters and Jacobson are Madalene Smith (teacher) and Estelle Jacobs (principal, right).
