The e’Bosch School Holiday Programme will run in December and January.

The e’Bosch Space Olympics will return this holiday season, bringing dorpies together for a week of learning, creativity and adventure.

During the December and January period, 18 dorpies or programmes in and around Stellenbosch will participate, continuing the journey that started during the winter school holidays and building on shared values and community growth.

The ongoing theme is “Going to Space”. Each dorpie or programme has selected a planet, moon or asteroid and created its own identity, including a logo, banner, song, dance and value system inspired by the 40 Developmental Assets.

Youth participants will enjoy a mix of sports, creative arts and personal growth activities. Highlights include indigenous games and inter-dorpie competitions on the “moon”, music and movement for the Grand Olympic Parade, entrepreneurship and financial literacy sessions, daily reflections that explore teamwork, empathy and gratitude.

The programme build-up, creative sessions and other activities will run from Monday 15 to Friday 19 December. In celebration of the Day of Reconciliation (Tuesday 16 December), each programme conduct an outreach in their respective dorpies. Preparation for the Space Olympic Parade runs from Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 January 2026, with the Olympic Sport Day being held on Saturday 10 January 2026.

The Space Olympics is more than games; it inspires values, confidence and community spirit, helping young people grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
