Dolphins Franchise Cricket Awards 2025/2026 – Westville Boys’ High School

On Friday evening, 12 June, the annual Dolphins Franchise Cricket Awards honoured the outstanding achievements of players, coaches, and administrators across the KwaZulu-Natal cricketing landscape.

Westville Boys’ High School was proudly represented, with several Old Boys and staff members receiving prestigious accolades:

  • Dayalan Boyce (WOB 2025) – Selected for the South Africa U19 Tour to Zimbabwe (2025) and SA Schools 2025.
  • Blake Simpson (WOB 2023) – Awarded Dolphins Academy Batter of the Year.
  • Seth Simpson (WOB 2025) – Named Dolphins U19 Player of the Year and selected for SA Colts 2025.
  • Wayne Scott (Director of Cricket & KZN U17 Head Coach) – Honoured as Dolphins Schools Boys Coach of the Year 2025/2026.

These achievements especially reflect the strength of the systems, structures, and development programmes within the WBHS cricket framework. They are a fitting reward for the dedication, discipline, and commitment each recipient has shown throughout the season.

Adding to these successes was also the KZN U17 team. Under the leadership of Head Coach Wayne Scott, the boys triumphed in the prestigious U17 Gauteng Cup. The squad featured three WBHS players – Kyle McGough, Ewan du Toit, and Aiden Baudach. All of them played a vital role in securing this remarkable victory.

Congratulations to all award recipients and representatives. Your accomplishments uphold the proud cricketing tradition of Westville Boys’ High School and serve as an inspiration to the next generation of players.
