As part of their curriculum, the Year 2 learners at Helderberg International School learnt about how heat changes materials by conducting experiments, such as the melting of butter. As the budding scientists observed the changes in the shape of the butter, they also had to note the rising temperature to see at which point the butter had melted. The same experiment was conducted using ice blocks. To add to their scientific skills, the class had to draw and label the equipment used.
