The women’s ministry of Kingdom of God Ministries in Strand, headed by Pastor Tammy van Heerden, hosted its inaugural women’s conference this Women’s Month. The event’s theme was“Women in Revival”, with three speakers – Pastor Lori-Anne Marx, Andrea Pretorius and Rev Tanelle Welff-Dixon – and a special guest artist, Beranize Minnaar, taking to the stage. More than 100 women attended the event, held at the community hall in Boundary Street, in the hopes of being inspired by the speakers and women who shared their testimonies. Welff-Dixon, a former air hostess and SANDF soldier, spent several years in America as a radio personality for Christian radio. She motivated many women with her story of abuse and abandonment, and is in the process of producing a film on her life story with the working title Unbroken: The Tanelle Welff Story. Kingdom of God Ministries is headed by Senior Pastor Robert van Heerden, who was pleased with the good turnout.
