Avontuur Estate has opened its newly upgraded Cellar Door, featuring a redesigned tasting room that accommodates up to 70 guests with panoramic views of Table Mountain and rolling vineyards.
The refreshed wine boutique combines contemporary styling with indoor-outdoor flow, set against the backdrop of the Helderberg Mountain slopes with views extending across False Bay. The space features a natural vine canopy and overlooks surrounding farmland.
Visitors can experience three signature tastings: The Taberer Family Reserve (R150); The Avontuur Collection (R145 for three wines); and The Thoroughbred Collection (R145 for four wines).
Each tasting is guided by estate staff who share the winery’s heritage and winemaking process.
The estate continues its premium wine production shaped by Helderberg terroir, while also offering accommodation at the renovated Avontuur Manor House with nine suites, multiple lounges, pool facilities and event venues. The Manor House and Barrel Cellar host weddings, corporate functions and private events coordinated by Warren-Stone Weddings & Events.
Operating hours until 11 January are Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00 and 10:00 to 20:00 on Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Christmas Day.
