The new theatre production, What have you done with the garden? is on at The Drama Factory in Strand on Thursday 18 April at 19:30 and Saturday 20 April at 16:00. The play is a new interdisciplinary work choreographed by Penny Wolhuter with videography by Kim Wolhuter and direction by Ignatius van Heerden. The production focuses on how humans are inextricably linked to nature, and how when we move away from it or try to deny our wild side, we lose our souls. The work draws inspiration from Wolhuter’s personal life and explores parallel themes from The Lord of the Flies by William Golding. In so doing it asks questions about reconnecting to nature and how to evolve without forgetting our true beginnings. This new work, produced by Leftfoot Dance Productions, fuses dance, text and the audio-visual to tell the story of what happens when we disconnect from nature and place ourselves above it. Tickets at R150 can be securely booked via www.thedramafactory.co.za. For more information, contact The Drama Factory which is located at 10 Comprop Square, Henry Vos Close, Asla Business Park, Strand on 073 215 2290..
