Helderberg Hospice was the very grateful recipient of a donation of a variety of cleaning products from West Pack Lifestyle Somerset West.
The gift has an enormous impact on Helderberg Hospice, which operates a Support Centre that is a 10-bed in-patient facility centrally situated in the Helderberg. The facility is a medical centre that provides registered hospice patients with extra support when they need it most.
Nurses trained in palliative care take care of people in the familiarity and comfort of their own home environments. If, however, symptoms need to be intensely managed, patients need terminal care, or caregivers and patients need short-term respite, the 24-hour Support Centre is available to support them and their loved ones through these challenges.
The Helderberg Hospice Support Centre is a medical facility and maintains the highest level of cleanliness. Generous gifts of essential products such as those donated by West Pack Lifestyle directly assist in being able to care for those in our community who would not be able to access the professional level of palliative care that is given.
