St Peter’s Catholic church in Strand celebrates its 120th anniversary with a “Dancing through the Decades” New Year’s Eve event at Somerset West Town Hall on Wednesday 31 December. The popular dance band, The Elginaires, will provide entertainment for the evening.

Somerset West: The COUNTRY CRAFT MARKET welcomes visitors for laid-back shopping experience every Saturday before Christmas. More than a century of history will culminate in one unforgettable night as ST PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Strand hosts a “Dancing through the Decades” New Year’s Eve celebration. The event takes place on Wednesday 31 December at Somerset West Town Hall, with music provided by the Elginaires as guests dance into 2026.
Whether it’s the groovy ’60s, the radical ’80s or the Y2K era of the 2000s, dress up in your era’s style and strut your stuff on the dance floor.
