Begaafde musiekleerders van die Hoërskool Parel Vallei sal ’n vrolike lenteprogram aanbied. Afgetredenes word hartlik na die byeenkoms uitgenooi. Strand: Die Helderberg-tak van die Vroue Landbouvereniging (VLV) vergader om 09:30 in die onthaalsaal van die NG gemeente Strand-Noord. Dit is ’n kleiner groepie wat interessante sprekers reël, skeppend deelneem en by gemeenskapsprojekte betrokke raak. Somerset West: All Saints RFC hosts its fifth annual golf tournament at the Somerset West Golf Club. Registration starts at 10:30; participants will tee off at 11:30. The fundraising golf day takes the format of a four-ball Betterball Stableford competition. The cost is R450 per player. Somerset West: The Galileo Open Air Cinema is returning for its 13th season with the theme “Galileo Under the Stars,” running from Wednesday 16 October to Monday 17 May. The event will feature a variety of films, including classics, contemporary hits and special shows for holidays such as Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. The cinema will be hosted at various wine estates, including Blaauwklippen, Lourensford, Nooitgedacht and Glenell and gardens in Cape Town and the Winelands, with new venues added this year. Tickets are available via Webtickets, starting at R145 per person. Gates open at 18:00 on weekdays and 17:00 on weekends, with movies starting after sunset. Avid golfers are implored to take a swing for a cause by entering for a spot in the Four-ball Betterball competition. The cost is R2 400 per four-ball or R600 per person. Grabouw: Die jaarlikse Buitelewe- en Avontuur-ekspo is vanjaar van Vrydag 8 tot Sondag 10 November terug by die Elgin-sportklub. Die byeenkoms behels uitstallings van die jongste buitelewe- en avontuurleefstyl-voertuie en toerusting en is op die hele gesin gemik. Dit sluit gewone en veldrywoonwaens, 4×4-veldryvoertuie, nutsmotors en veral sportnutsvoertuie sowel as kampeer- en ander toerusting vir ’n vakansie of leefstyl in die veld in. Talle ander uitstallers sal ook betrokke wees, waaronder kos-, koffie- en wynuitstallers, ’n biertuin en vele meer. Die ekspo is nie net nog ’n skou of ’n vlooimark nie – dit is ’n volbloed-buitelewe- en avontuur-ekspo vir die hele gesin.
