Somerset West: The Helderberg Village Music Society presents a concert by acclaimed guitarist James Grace at Talani Terrace at 16:00. Gordon’s Bay: SmallTalX, in collaboration with Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club (GBYC), will host a public talk on snakes and reptiles of the Kogelberg and Gordon’s Bay areas, by well-known reptile expert Tyrone Ping at 18:30. Ping has developed a loyal following on YouTube for his enthusiastic “herping” adventures throughout South Africa. He is a passionate advocate for public education and conservation, and offers eco-friendly guided field tours exploring reptiles and their habitats. He is also a snake removal expert. Ping’s talk at GBYC will introduce listeners to the snakes and reptiles that inhabit the Kogelberg and its surrounds, including aquatic reptiles. He will discuss both common and lesser-known reptiles that call this UNESCO World Heritage Site home. The talk is open to the general public.
