Somerset West: The Helderberg Village Music Society presents a concert by acclaimed guitarist James Grace at Talani Terrace at 16:00. Grace is one of the country’s leading concert artists who has performed with all major orchestras and frequently throughout Southern Africa, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Two of Grace’s albums have received SAMA awards, the most recent being his seventh solo studio album Andaluza – Music of Spain III for Best Classical Album. Tickets for the concert costs R130. Gordon’s Bay: SmallTalX, in collaboration with Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club (GBYC), will host a public talk on snakes and reptiles of the Kogelberg and Gordon’s Bay areas, by well-known reptile expert Tyrone Ping at 18:30. Ping has developed a loyal following on YouTube for his enthusiastic “herping” adventures throughout South Africa. He is a passionate advocate for public education and conservation, and offers eco-friendly guided field tours exploring reptiles and their habitats. He is also a snake removal expert. Ping’s talk at GBYC will introduce listeners to the snakes and reptiles that inhabit the Kogelberg and its surrounds, including aquatic reptiles. He will discuss both common and lesser-known reptiles that call this UNESCO World Heritage Site home. The talk is open to the general public. Nel, geliefde akteur en stemkunstenaar, dra die destydse brekende nuus van die spesifieke gebeurtenis voor en verskaf interessante en relevante inligting, terwyl bekende en verrassende temas op die orrel deur Grundling, bekroonde orrelis en wenner van drie Kanna-pryse, geïmproviseer word. Dié kombinasie sorg vir ’n intense en emosionele musiekreis deur onlangse geskiedenis wat ook die orrel se relevantheid as ’n “kommentator” op groot nuusgebeure beklemtoon. ’n Wye reeks van musiek word ingesluit – van klassiek tot kontemporêr.
