๏€ผStrand: An exciting line-up awaits at SUNSET BOOKS in Beach Road, beginning with the Mom’s Biz Network business gathering today for R250, followed by Saturday’s (15 November) packed schedule featuring live music from 11:00 to 12:00, the book launch of Hendrik Dieckmann’s military memoir Kalter Stahl from 12:00 to 13:00, and live streaming of the South Africa vs Italy rugby match at 14:40. The store has established itself as a community hub offering diverse literary, cultural, and social activities throughout the week. Regular programming includes Monday’s bilingual Die Storie Tannie children’s storytime at 11:30 and 14:00. The group exhibition features works by Juanette Menderoi, Terry Stephens, Christie du Toit, Corietha Muller, Herma Kitching, Hanlie Kotse, Sonja Nel, Maria and founder Glendine. Drawing inspiration from the Madonna figure, the collection honours the strength, creativity and grace of women while celebrating the joy, colour and spirit of a South African summer Christmas. Audiences will be transported into a world of nostalgia, rhythm, wonder and connection when Zip Zap Circus teams-up with the iconic Freshlyground (pictured) for Take Me Home, a once-in-a-lifetime stage production that fuses circus artistry with live music. The show will light up the Artscape Opera House with five electrifying performances from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November. Take Me Home brings the world-class acrobatics and choreography of Zip Zap’s seasoned performers and Freshlyground’s vibrant sound together. Each performance supports the sustainability of the circus. The show will be staged at 19:30 on Friday and Saturday, 17:00 on Sunday, and 14:00 on Saturday and 13:00 on Sunday.
