Besoekers kan beslis kus en keur tussen die groot verskeidenheid items, wat dié mark ’n wenner maak vir geskenke vir geliefdes. Varsgebak, lekker eetgoed, juwele, plante, huisware, kombuisgoed, houtwerk, kindergoed, klere, dekor, en baie ander mooi goed en heelwat verrassings word aangebied. Die perseel is rolstoel vriendelik, parkering is gratis, kaartfasiliteite is beskikbaar, en die mark bly oop tydens beurtkrag. Strand: The multi-talented James Stewart and John Ellis return to The Drama Factory with their popular live show at 19:30. Blending piano, guitar, melody and vocal harmonies, the award-winning singers, songwriters and musicians will journey with the audience through the songs that inspired them to write their own – from interpretations of some of their favourite songs to intimate performances of their own. Stewart is an Emmy-nominated and multi-SAMA award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and all-round nice guy. Stellenbosch: A sunset hike will be held at Muratie Wine Estate. Participants will gather for the 3,5 km hike before sunset. The trail is marked from the Dirtopia Trail Centre, so hikers can walk at their own pace to start between 17:00 and 18:00. After 19:00, hikers who reach the look-out point can picnic with views of the Winelands before leaving at 19:30 to hike back, where coffee will be served. Participants are urged to wear good walking or hiking shoes and take along a torch, picnic snacks and a blanket as well as something warm to wear. A lucky draw will be held. Strand: The University of the Third Age (U3A) Helderberg welcomes Dr Gillian Arendse as guest speaker at its monthly meeting to be held in the Strand Town Hall at 10:00. He is an experimental nuclear physicist by training, a motivator by choice and conviction, and a general all-rounder who tries to use his gifts and talents to impact every person he interacts with. Arendse studied at the Stellenbosch University from 1989-1996, graduating with his PhD in experimental nuclear physics in March 1997. He went on to lecture in the physics department and was involved in student support and recruitment. Since July 2020 he has been employed by the NRF-iThemba LABS as manager of communication and stakeholder relations. He is hoping that his presentation will inspire others to join him to co-create a better tomorrow in which he firmly believes we all have a role to play.
