The Veterans’ Cricket u-40 Provincial Tournament, involving eight provinces, took place in Johannesburg from Monday 8 to Friday 12 May. Helderberg Vikings Veterans team had five players in the Boland u-40 squad, namely James Albanie, Gasant Moller, Thomas Smith, Ruben Matthews and Abdul Aziz Temoor. Unfortunately, Boland won only one out of four matches and finished last. Pictured is Temoor, who was selected to represent the SA Proteas u-40 team to play in March 2024 at the World Cup, which will he hosted in Cape Town.
