The Gordon’s Bay drop-off site will undergo necessary repairs and maintenance next month (August).

The facility, located off Sir Lowry’s Pass Road, is one of six sites in the city where work will be undertaken over the next two months. Work at the Helderberg facility is scheduled for Monday 18 to Friday 22 August. It will, however, remain open to locals during this period, the City of Cape Town confirmed in a statement.

The other drop-off facilities are Prince George Drive, Wynberg, Woodstock, Kommetjie and Hout Bay.

“All sites, except Wynberg, will remain open for all accepted waste types for the duration of the repairs. However, residents could experience some delays when making drop-offs. The completion of work is weather dependent, and delays are possible in the event of inclement weather. The City regrets any inconvenience caused.”
