In the spirit of giving and compassion, a remarkable community drive is set to unfold over the next two months, aimed at assisting the less fortunate during the festive season.
Spearheaded by a prominent solar-back-up company, Green Precision, this initiative not only seeks to bring joy to those in need, but also offers a sustainable solution to their energy needs.
According to Danie Nel, owner of Green Precision, the drive will focus on providing support to local communities that are struggling financially, while simultaneously addressing their energy requirements.
“We have pledged to sponsor the installation of a back-up system for selected beneficiaries, ensuring a reliable and sustainable source of power even during challenging times,” he said.
As the holiday season approaches the drive aims to make a positive impact on the lives of families and individuals who are facing economic hardships. Over the next two months the organisers will collaborate with various non-profits, which will in turn be nominated by the community to be among beneficiaries.
To ensure the success of the drive the organisers are appealing to the community for support, especially for the company.
“With the assistance of suppliers we have launched a special on installations,” Nel said, “and for every installation we will donate R500 towards the fund, and at the end of the campaign we will use these funds to ensure the less fortunate of the Helderberg, especially children, receive a warm meal on Christmas day.”
The local community has already shown tremendous enthusiasm for the project, with numerous individuals and businesses expressing their eagerness to participate, said Nel. “We are optimistic that this collective effort will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need, fostering a stronger sense of unity and compassion within the community.
“By combining the spirit of giving with the power of renewable energy, this innovative community drive aims to create a lasting impact and inspire others to make a positive change in the community.”
The organisers are confident their efforts will make this Christmas a memorable one for the less fortunate, reminding them that they are not alone and that their community supports them.
