Parel Vallei High School athletes Marietjie Cilliers and Zenade October, an energetic running duo, participated in the Western Cape Schools Cross Country Championships. Marietjie finished second and Zenade fourth in their respective age groups. Both were selected for the South African school athletes camp, to be held from 18 to 21 September. To top all their recent achievements, they also represented Western Province at the Athletics South Africa Club Championships in Pretoria on Saturday 7 September. In the under-15 group of a 110 athletes, Marietjie came 22nd and Zenade 45th. Both talented athletes are month winners of DistrictMail and SuperSport’s Let’s Play award.
