The Eco-Logic Awards 2024 is proud to announce the finalists for the highly anticipated event, which will take place at the Two Oceans Aquarium, V&A Waterfront, in Wednesday 30 October.
Among those finalists is Kiko Vitals in the Eco-Health & Wellness category, a company is based in Somerset West. The proudly South African empowerment-driven company is dedicated to revolutionising women’s well-being through all-natural solutions.
Kiko Vitals products are made from only the highest-quality, sustainably sourced, 100% natural ingredients, and offer science-backed formulations with real results. Their sourcing and manufacturing practices are conscious, and their ingredients and packaging are sustainable. Additionally, their commitment to social and environmental responsibility shines through their initiatives to combat period poverty in the most sustainable way.
They have supplied thousands of organic sanitary towels to women who are unable to afford them, ensuring they have access to safe, sustainable menstrual products. This effort not only supports women’s health and hygiene, but also promotes environmental sustainability, resonating deeply with their brand values and community commitments.
Highlighting some of South Africa’s most innovative and impactful eco-champions, these awards, now in its 13th year, celebrate individuals, organisations, products and services that are pioneering eco-conscious solutions across the country.
Entries opened in April this year, and submissions across the 12 categories were evaluated by a panel of independent and environmentally knowledgeable executives from diverse backgrounds.
David Parry-Davies, editor of The Enviropaedia and founder of the Eco-Logic Awards, said: “While many of the entries were impressive, what ultimately led us to deciding on the finalists was decided by how well they demonstrated and reflected what we call Eco-Logical Intelligence. Such intelligence is defined by seven specific ways of thinking that are beneficial for ‘People, Planet and Profit’. You can access these virtues of Eco-Logical Thinking on our website www.eco-logicallliving.com.”
In an evolutionary move, the Eco-Logic Awards have partnered with Biomimicry SA this year, introducing a focus on nature-inspired solutions to human challenges. In addition to the prestige and honour of earning an Eco-Logic Award and all the media attention that this brings, the winners will also benefit from a consultation (valued at R300 000) with the Biomimicry SA team and enrolment in their “Change Makers by Nature” programme.
The programme gives participants the tools they need to lead purposefully, think systemically, and design solutions inspired by nature.
Hosted by comedian and presenter Themba Robin, the ceremony will be broadcast on OpenView Channel 115.
From eco-fashion and lifestyle to circulation economy and waste innovation, this year’s finalists embody the Eco-Logic Awards’ mission to support and promote initiatives, products, and services, that contribute to a healthier, happier and more sustainable future for all.
The glamorously green awards are made possible by the generous support of key organisations such as the Two Oceans Aquarium, Interwaste, The Ford Wildlife Foundation, Polyco and The CSIR-NCPC, who share a common vision of supporting the champions that lead these efforts.
