Andrรฉ Swart is a happy man. As dealer principal of a successful car dealership that exceeds its sales targets and boasts excellent customer satisfaction in its service department, he has good reason to be pleased; his only complaint is lack of stock of a few top-selling models.

Suzuki Helderberg is well known for its community involvement, this year sponsoring the first rugby team of Hoรซrskool Strand while maintaining its ongoing support for animal-welfare initiatives.

Sales manager Nazeem Aziz is equally satisfied, not only with the excellent sales figures but also with his brilliant sales team, which augurs well for the upcoming national awards.

At the local public launch of the new family-sized Across, Aziz revealed the dealership already had a waiting list for 12 cars, split evenly between the GL and GLX models, but interestingly all for automatics. Suzuki introduced its new six-speed automatic gearbox with the Across and, mated to the reliable 1.5 L four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, it takes power delivery, smoothness and driving enjoyment to a new level.

With a customer-service index of 98% and sales hitting 30% above targets, the tried-and-tested formula of reliability, value and good service has been proven once again. New sales records may be achieved with the new Across, as the combination of high-tech features (ADAS and touchscreen) and old-school elements (physical buttons) is already winning over hearts and wallets.
