The annual Fitness SA Extravaganza was held on Saturday 14 September at Corpus Christi in Panorama, Cape Town, where Strand’s Nadene du Plessis won the line-ups in the Bikini Open Division, Figure Division and Overalls, plus took home second place in the Bikini 35+ Division. Du Plessis is no stranger to bodybuilding accolades, as the fitness aficionado is also a world champion after winning in the Athletic Pro Figure category at the United Intercontinental Body Building Fitness Federation (UIBFF) World Championships held in Coventry, England, last November. She previously shared that her fitness journey had taken more than three years of total commitment and dedication towards a more fulfilling lifestyle. “None of this would have been possible without the incredible support around me and the unbelievable favour God has shown me,” Du Plessis said afterwards, and also thanked her friends and family.Photo: Johan Moolman
