Somerset College hosted the Southern Stings Netball Pop Clinic on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 May. The two-day training clinic was aimed at players defensive and attacking players. Netball players in the under-12 to under-18 age groups had the opportunity to learn from experienced Western Cape Southern Stings players and coach Annelie Lucas, along with the management team, who worked with the attending players on skills development and gaining a greater understanding of the game. The Southern Stings are well known and boast players who have represented South Africa in various age groups. Players of such calibre brought a wealth of experience to the pop clinic, allowing the College players to learn from them and get to know the Southern Stings as netball role models.
