These Parel Vallei High School rugby players were selected to the Western Province under-18 Invitational XV team that competed at the World Schools Festival in Stellenbosch during the recent school holidays. The players stood tall against a very strong World Select XV (Springbok under-17 team) and put in solid performances, especially against the Zimbabwe under-18 international team. Thinus Pienaar, head of PV rugby (pictured with the players), said he is very proud of having four rugby players in WP colours on a world school’s rugby stage for Parel Vallei High and added that the PV Bulldogs are ready to rise to the highest level in the Premium B league this season. Pictured with Pienaar are Keanuh Michaels, Leonard de Leeuw, Ethan Borcherds and Ivan Coetzee.
