Somerset West Primary School (SWPS) awarded its top achievers in academics, sport and culture at its annual prize-giving held on Tuesday 8 November. Among learners honoured was Chaeli Wright, who earned the top academic award as the Dux learner and top Grade 7 achiever, with an average overall result of 83,03% and top marks in social sciences as well as life orientation. Furthermore, a special mention went to the top Grade 4 to 6 achievers, Nubaid Smith (Grade 4 – 90,0%), Kristen Nel (Grade 5 – 87,50%), and Josiah Wenn (Grade 6 – 88,67%).
