The Helderberg Rotary Anns hosted a delicious tea for all the volunteers who assisted with the running of the Bargain Box Charity Shop as well as all the avid knitters who kept their needles clicking for winter woollens, including baby clothes, beanies, shawls and baby blankets, which are distributed among the needy during the cold winter months. Matty Coetzee, Juanita Dargan, Annette de Witt, Dawn Brawn, Joan van der Heever, Marie Cilliers, Leira Coetsee and Mimi Rodriques from Helderberg Manor Craft Club enjoyed the delectable treat as token of appreciation.

The Rotary Anns recently focused efforts to assist the residents of Kay’s Caravan Park with a donation of food worth about R13 000. The gesture was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Anns’ overseas friends. Items to offer humanitarian relief to the recent fire victims at Kay’s Caravan Park were also collected, mostly from Helderberg Manor Retirement Estate. In addition to the items donated, a cash amount was also gifted to distressed residents by the generous pensioners. The handover was facilitated by Rotary Ann Ingrid Edelson (right), who handed the donation to Celien du Plessis.
