Six rookie constables with families at Somerset West police station welcoming ceremony — Somerset West police bolstered its festive season operations with six fresh faces joining the ranks last month. The new constables and their families gathered at the station on Thursday 18 December for a welcoming ceremony as they prepared to serve and protect the community. Colonel Jacolize Fleischmann, the station commander, greeted the rookie constables alongside various speakers, who gave them encouragement for the journey ahead. Fleischmann concluded the ceremony by urging the new constables to serve their community with passion and pride.
