Show your loved ones you care by winning their hearts through their tummies with this moreish, nibbly snack that can be whipped up in a heartbeat.

Preparation time: 25 minutes

Baking time: 20 minutes

Makes: 20 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 125 g butter or margarine, softened
  • 60 ml icing sugar, sifted
  • 375 ml self-raising wheat flour
  • 1 ml salt
  • 10 ml milk

Method:

1. Cream the butter and icing sugar together. Sift the flour and salt together. Add to butter mixture with the milk and mix into a firm dough.

2. Roll the dough into teaspoon-size balls and place onto greased baking trays, leaving enough space for spreading. Press down lightly with a fork.

3. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for about 20 minutes. Turn out onto wire racks to cool.

4. Use a fork to drizzle cooled biscuits with melted chocolate. Leave on wire racks to set.
