Patrick Manthey and Theresa Brown test the new web-based school management system at Parel Vallei High School.

Parel Vallei High School has acquired a custom-made education system that caters for the school’s vision of seeking excellence in an ever changing world.

EduVista, a web-based school management system, has been created by Patrick Manthey of Abatec Financial Systems in partnership with the school. The powerful and reliable system will enhance education management and relieve teachers of endless administrative tasks.

It was planned and developed for PV in 2018 and finally implemented as its main admin and operations management system at the end of last year. Teachers were trained to use the system last year and it was rolled out with great success in January this year.

This system was soon endorsed when staff realised just how easy it made daily administrative tasks and facilitated the managing of their classes, learners and activities. It saved time and reduced stress levels, giving teachers more time to focus on educating learners.

Theresa Brown, administrative head, and Lynette Burger, head of learner affairs at Parel Vallei, summed up the benefits of this new education management system, labelling it as diverse and user-friendly for all stakeholders.

With EduVista and the time and resources saved, PV can strategise for the future and come up with creative plans to better itself in every possible way. The Parent Portal is currently being phased in per grade and will all be on board by the end of this term. It is set to be fully functional by the start of next year.

The school management team thanked Manthey, who had surpassed expectations with the tailor-made admin system. “He has been an agent of change for Parel Vallei and assisted the school in revolutionising education and standing out from the crowd through excellence,” it said in a statement.
