Kids Company Montessori Integrated Preschool in Somerset West decided to give back when the little ones and their teachers celebrated World Book Day on Friday 23 April.
All the children were asked to take their favourite books to school and dress up as their favourite book character. Parents were also asked to send any unused books to school in a collection drive for the Suider-Strand Library, which was completely gutted by a fire in February (“Geskiedenis, nie net boeke vernietig”, DistrictMail, 4 March).
“We were thrilled with the book donations received and the children had a happy day filled with fun, laughter and plenty storytime,” a statement from Kids Company stated.
