More than 120 survivors and caregivers attended the annual Cansa Relay for Life Helderberg event on Saturday 5 October, which was held at Parel Vallei High School in Somerset West. They were supported by hundreds of people, including 37 teams that entered. All teams walked through the night and a total of more than R60 000 was raised for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa), which has set a target of R100 000 to raise by the end of March next year. Organisers thanked all sponsors for contributing towards the success of the event.
