The annual Spring exhibition of miniature artwork, Gratitude for Creation, officially opened at the Bright Street Gallery on Friday 1 September. The exhibition, which runs until Saturday 30 September, is open for the public’s viewing delight during gallery hours – from 09:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, and 09:00 to 12:30 on Saturdays. Sisters Marlene Cordy (left) and Betsie Badenhorst stepped out and attended the event to admire the artworks on display. Badenhorst is a passionate art teacher who engages keen students at Lochnerhof Primary School in Strand.

Fellow exhibiters Rian Oliver and Celeste Duthie compared their art over chilled refreshments.

Marius and Ingrid du Toit, Danél Hanekom, Marietjie du Toit and Sunita Hansen were among guests who attended the group exhibition opening at the gallery located in (Lower) Bright Street.
